Apache Beat Believes Our Powers Are Magic, Shoots Video With Hunter Fairstone and Enki Studios

Up-and-coming director Hunter Fairstone hired Jeff Melanson and David Kruta to shoot a video for Apache Beat’s newest hit song “Your Powers Are Magic”, and after working through several technical difficulties, one sleepless night later we walked away with some terrific footage. We worked with Hunter on director Eli Stonberg’s video for Au Revoir Simone’s “Knight of Wands”, and was impressed with our work.

The highly stylized sequence follows band member Ilirjana Alushaj lost in a forest and performing the song. We shot on the RED One with OI Ultra Prime lenses, and made extensive use of Steadicam and slow motion.
